Jesus looked at them and said,

“With man this is impossible,

but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

*          *          *          *          *

My God Is Omnipotent.

*          *          *          *          *

 Which means:

He is without limits in His power or abilities!

*          *          *          *          *

Job speaks of God being all-powerful when, in chapter nine of his book he says:

…His power is vast.

He moves mountains without their knowing it

and overturns them in his anger.

He shakes the earth from its place

and makes its pillars tremble.

He speaks to the sun and it does not shine;

He seals off the light of the stars.

He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.

…he performs wonders that cannot be fathomed,

miracles that cannot be counted.

Job 9:4-10

Now,

what happens when we see the blending of the Creative qualities of our God with His being “Omnipotent”?

Just how creative and powerful is He?

Let’s look at Genesis 1:3-27

And God said,

…”Let there be light,”

and there was light.

And God said,

…”Let there be an expanse between the waters

to separate water from water.

and it was so.

 And God said,

…”Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place,

and let dry ground appear.”

and it was so.

Then God said,

…”Let the land produce vegetation,”

and it was so.

And God said,

…”Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky,”

and it was so.

And God said,

…”Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds,”

and it was so.

Then God said,

“Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,

… so God created man in His own image,

    in the image of God He created him;

   male and female He created them.

     God looked over everything He had made;

…It was so good, so very good!

 Father,

You also showed Your power to Noah with the Great Flood and to Abraham with the destruction of Sodom.

You revealed your awesome power with all the wonders that took place with Moses while he was in Egypt.

Then, during the 40 years while You led Moses and the young nation of Israel, time and again you showed Yourself as the

“All Powerful One.”

 Also, there are all the stories about Your great power through the lives of Your kings and prophets.

Most wonderfully, within the life and ministry of Jesus while He was here on earth,

You continually showed that You are the only God of absolute power.

Here are just a few examples with Jesus:

Turning water into wine?

Easy!

John 2:1-9

 Feeding over 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish?

No Problem!

Matthew 14:13-21

 Walking on water, calming the storm?

 Not impossible for you!

John 6:16-24

Healing the sick, raising the dead?  With You,

“All things are possible”!

Matthew 9:35

Luke 7:11-15

 Yet it was none of the above that showed me your power

like what took place at the cross with Jesus.

What does it say in 1 Corinthians 1:18?

…For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,

   but to us who are being saved it is the Power of God.

This is what You did that I might be saved!

What You did to show me how much You love me!

I know, I deserved death and hell,

but with the one act  You did upon the cross

I now have your “Light” and Your “Eternal Life” within me.

Because of this,

You are the God I believe in,

my “El Shaddai,”

my “God Almighty.”

The One I trust.

Nothing is impossible for You!

I kneel in  “Awe and Wonder” before You.

For I know, You are for me and not against me.

You have adopted me and call me Your son.

You are my

“All Powerful God.”

Yes, my God is “Omnipotent.”
