What is Restore Purity all about?

My name is Mike Caven and I’ve designed this site, Restore Purity, to provide Christ-centered education concerning Sexual Purity (knowledge, understanding, and insights).

I am the Dirctor of Resurrection Life Ministries International (RLMI)

The Mission Statment of RLMI since 1992 has been:

IT IS THE MISSION OF RESURRECTION LIFE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL

TO HELP SEXUALLY IMPURE CHRISTIANS WALK IN OBEDIENCE AND PURITY,

TO EQUIP THE CHURCH

TO MINISTER TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS

THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL

TO ALL WHO ARE ENSLAVED TO SEXUAL SIN.

The purpose of this site is to help and encourage all men within the Body of Christ worldwide in the area concerning their sex drive.  RLMI’s desire is to serve all men with a biblical foundation of truth, grace, and a dependency on our precious Holy Spirit who dwells within each of us.

Proverbs 2:6-7

Proverbs 2:6-7 will be our guiding scripture into the Peace, Victory and Freedom and Healing within our Heart, Mind, and Soul. This is what Our Father God has for each of us.

In Luke 15, the story of the prodigal son. Yes there is the prodigal and yes there is the Good, Compassionate Father. Next we see the older brother with his hard heart, but Jesus the other brother is narrating the story, it is on Jesus the other brother, that this site will focus.

Let’s begin with an awareness that the power of sexual sin can only be broken by a greater power, The Power of the Cross Of Jesus.  This site points towards the Holy Scriptures so that the wisdom found within the Scriptures will help him discover who he really is.

Within this site, Restore Purity, I place a great emphasis on a growing trust with our Father God — our Creator.  As my late wife would always say:

“It is our Father God who knows us the most, and it is He who loves us the most”.

What is the goal of Restore Purity?

This site’s goal is to teach men to allow our Good Shepherd, to have access to their deep heart needs and meet them on a daily basis. I believe that unmet needs within our hearts play a major part in the driving force behind all sexual vulnerabilities within our lives and if they are left unattended can lead us into sexual slavery. Whatever the reason you may come to this site, our intent is to present to you “clean and pure, living water, and our desire is that you will leave refreshed and encouraged.

Within this site we want to serve you, to equip you, leading each guy to experience the “abundant life” that is spoken of in John 10:10 and the plans that our God speaks of for each of us in Jeremiah 29:11.

For the reality is that as sons of the Most High God, He wants us walking with Him clean and pure. unhindered from any sexual struggles.

Restore Purity is just a tool, yet if implemented properly, will contribute to God’s peace with in our heart, mind, and soul.

On this site you will find several different pages taking you down pathways to again, His Peace and to the fruit of the Holy Spirit — Self-Control.  We all know that if we allow our sex drive to go out-of-control, it can will contribute to a deadening of our soul.

Now Let’s talk about “Silent Killers” aka, Secondary Issues.

Another understanding of what is going on within each of us, is what I call, “Silent Killers”, such as: Unbelief, Unforgiveness, Pride, Anger, Offenses, Rejection, etc. (see category above) These killers can greatly contribute to out of control behavior.

Restore Purity also provides you with teachings on the Transforming and the Renewing of the Mind, Understanding Trust And Accountability, Desire verses Lust, plus many more, that will help you to walk in Self-Control and Sexual Purity. These are basic Christian Disciplines. (see the right side column)

Foundations of our Christian faith

You can also view a sampling of the three primary ingredients that make up the solid foundation of our Christian faith. What I present is only an introduction for each of these three topics, for, the fact is, many great works have been written concerning each one.  So again, what I give on this site is only an introduction to each theme. The importance of our values and beliefs rest upon a correct foundation of what we take ownership of within our heart. You will be unable to experience the triumphs, the victories, the freedoms, and the healings within your life without these foundations properly in place.

Plus, on this site, are many articles and videos to review regarding sexual purity.  I have been very encouraged by testimonies from guys who have come here struggling with lust and porn. After spending time reviewing and pondering the content here, they have come away strengthened within their hearts, minds, and souls.

Go right to Our Identity in Christ section of this site and let that be your starting point.  Review these truths as often as needed, be it once a day or several times a day. Let these truths affect your heart and soul.  The reality is, all scriptural truth is the foundation to the Peace, Healing, Victory, and Freedom we desire to experience in our lives.  We believe that our Father God, and our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are All Present,  All Powerful, and All Knowing.  We need to learn that it is our God’s desire to support us, help us, rescue us, and deliver us, yet this can only take place when we allow Him the freedom to move in our lives.  Come back to Identity in Christ as often as you need!
