1) The Church is negatively biased towards the LGBTQ+ community.

In reviewing the parable found in Luke 15:11-32, let’s focus on “The Loving Father.”

There are three sons; the younger son who is identified as the prodigal, the second son who is the older brother, and the third son Jesus who is narrating the parable.  The fourth participant is “The Loving Father.”

In studying this parable we see negative bias in full display by the older brother.  Concerning any believer, who has been wrongly mistreated by the Body of Christ, we asked for forgiveness and we repent on our own behalf. Some in the church are following after the older brother in this parable while believing they are representing our Father God.

We base our asking forgiveness and our repentance on the truth of the statements below.

We declare that the Loving Father as presented in the Parable of Luke 15, is the example we will follow in the receiving of anyone who desires to repent and return home to Him.

Our Prayer/Decree

Father,

I ask for forgiveness for myself and the Body of Christ for any expression of hardness of heart towards the LGBTQ+ community. You’ve created each person to have a close intimate, active and alive relationship with you. This includes all within the LGBTQ+ community.  Jesus, you shed your blood and died on the cross for all within the LGBTQ+ community.

Father, I decree in Jesus Name, the true, pure Gospel of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection which is the Gospel of hope and freedom. The Gospel of Peace. The Gospel of adoption. The Gospel calling all Prodigal’s home. I degree that the Gospel be brought clearly to all within the LGBTQ+ community, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN!
