-Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD’s) are another example of the fallout of sexual sin. Countless men and woman are scarred by STD’s, some for life-I have personally known guys who have had just one sexual encounter and now live with an STD that there is no known cure for.
Be a thief and if you get caught you might be known as a thief for the rest of your life. But become a felony sex offender and you will be marked and told where you can and cannot live for the rest of your life and this is just one of many consequences that a sex offender will be living with. Presently, according to
CNN today, there are over 600,000 registered sex offenders in the United States because of various sex crimes.
Do you think any of them started out knowing what a diet of lust and pornography would eventually produce in their lives. I have personally visited men in prison because they allowed themselves to become deceived by sexual sin.
Almost monthly, the media is exposing Celebrities, Sports figures, Politicians and even Pastors and they are being brought down by sometimes just one foolish choice on their part. Why? Why are these men allowing their lives to be altered, in many cases their futures destroyed? We get a little insight from Tiger Woods when he was explaining his own unfaithfulness, he said:
“I never thought about who I was hurting.
Instead – I only thought about myself.”
This mindset is the genesis of all sexual sinning.
Recently at a conference for Lawyers, Divorce Lawyers were asked: “How much is pornography playing in divorce cases?” Their response was that pornography was playing more and more of a factor in their case loads.
The bottom line is — it’s about the consequence… there are far more ramifications, there is far more fallout concerning sexual sins and, be assured of this, all consequences for sexual sinning will bring upon you only unwelcome consequences into your life.
So, the next time you binge on porn-it will be likely that you will not see the truth of the death it produces in countless lives every day – You will most likely only get off on the erotic aspect of it, not thinking about the hundreds of thousands of men, Christian and non Christian alike, who started out just like you and me, enjoying the rush, yet today they are paying a heavy price for what at the moment, seemed like just some erotic fun.
For what I have just presented above, some might accuse me of using fear…to scare you with this information. Well, the fact is I have in no way exaggerated in what I have just written, It is only the truth.
